Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist (STAFF or 1099) to join our dynamic team at Citadel Rehabilitation and Nursing Center at Kingsbridge. Job Details: * Competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications. * Monday to Friday * 8-hour shift * 1099 Positions Available Responsibilities: * Conduct thorough evaluations of residents‘ physical, cognitive, and psychosocial abilities to determine individualized treatment goals and plans. * Design and implement occupational therapy interventions to improve residents‘ independence, functional skills, and activities of daily living. * Provide interventions such as therapeutic activities/exercises, manual therapy, adaptive equipment training, and environmental modifications to enhance residents‘ physical and cognitive abilities and restore function. * Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, speech therapists, and physical therapists/assistants, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care. * Monitor residents‘ progress, reassess treatment plans, and make necessary adjustments to achieve optimal outcomes. * Educate residents, family members, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques, adaptive strategies, and home exercise programs to facilitate continuity of care. * Document all evaluations, treatments, and progress notes accurately and in a timely manner. * Adhere to ethical and professional standards as set forth by relevant regulatory bodies and professional associations (HIPAA compliance). Qualifications: * A valid license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the state. * Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program. * Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility or geriatric care setting is preferred. * Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles, practices, and techniques. * Ability to assess, plan, and implement effective treatment plans based on individual residents‘ needs and goals. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams. * Proficiency in using relevant occupational therapy assessment tools and software (Rehab Optima and Sigma Care) * Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team. * Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to improve the lives of individuals in need of rehabilitative care.
