- As an Occupational Therapist will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for patients through therapeutic interventions. You will work closely with patients to develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and working.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' functional abilities and limitations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and patient needs.
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve patients' physical, emotional, and cognitive capabilities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and home exercise programs.
- Document patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary to meet changing needs.
- Stay updated with the latest evidence-based practices in occupational therapy.
Qualifications:Education:
- Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Licensure:
- Valid New York State Occupational Therapy License.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred; familiarity with acute care settings is a plus.
