Job Summary: The Occupational Therapist is responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments and developing individualized treatment plans to enhance clients' physical and psychological well-being. This role focuses on improving clients' abilities to perform daily activities and facilitating their successful return to work.
Key Responsibilities: - Conduct thorough physical and psychological assessments of clients to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Assess clients' home and work environments to identify necessary adjustments for optimal functioning.
- Advise on adaptive equipment to improve clients' daily activity performance.
- Develop and implement physical rehabilitation programs to help clients regain lost skills.
- Prepare clients for successful reintegration into the workplace through tailored rehabilitation strategies.
- Educate caregivers and family members on effective patient care techniques.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of occupational therapy interventions and monitor clients' progress.
- Stay updated on professional knowledge and advancements in treatment practices.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local certification requirements.
- Assess patient conditions related to physical and basic mental health.
Required Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from a program accredited by ACOTE (Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education) or AOTA (American Occupational Therapy Association).
- Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
- Compliance with state healthcare regulatory requirements.
- Up-to-date knowledge of treatment practices and occupational therapy programs.
