Washington Ave is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to join our multi-disciplinary team in an adult OP setting. The ideal candidate would be a Certified Hand Therapist or have a desire to train and pursue specialization and certification in CHT. The candidate will collaborate with the OT and PT teams in-house and have a desire for teaching and mentoring others inside and outside the local clinic. Experience and a desire to develop splinting skills would be required. We primarily treat orthopedic injuries and conditions but also some high-level neurologic conditions on occasion. We are seeking a candidate with strong interpersonal skills and a desire to develop relationships with our established as well as new and potential referral sources.Initial and ongoing systematic patient assessmentPatient Case Load Average: 8-10 patients a dayTimely and accurate documentation using Therapy SourceInterpreting assessment/diagnostic data including medical notes and surgery reportsEnsuring medical orders are transcribed and processed accuratelyPromoting continuous quality improvementInstructing and counseling patients/families as neededQualificationsMinimum Qualifications:Successful completion of those educational requirements as mandated for state licensure or eligibility for a license in Occupational TherapyCurrent State licensure or eligibility for licensure in the State of practiceHand Therapy CertificationCardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification requiredAbility to work 40 hours per week with occasional late or early shifts to accommodate patientsAdditional DataSelect Medical is committed to having a workforce that reflects diversity at all levels and is an equal opportunity employer.
