Mindcare Tutoring's goal is to create a comprehensive instructional experience that provides our students, their families, and other professionals involved with the guidance and plans they need for ultimate success in their tutoring experience.*JOB SUMMARY** Review existing data available and conduct initial evaluation of students' needs.* Generate goals to address areas of need and provide quality care by assessing and interpreting evaluations, determining occupational therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians or by prescription* Help Students develop and regain physical or mental functioning by implementing programs that incorporate daily living skills.* Provide ongoing evaluation of student's progress status and goals, modifying treatment program as necessary.* Develop and update comprehensive goals for treatment and construct therapies according to student's intelligence level, interest, and physical capacity to maximize independence.* Instruct and advise students, family and other professionals involved including, when appropriate, in the phases of therapy in which they may assist the student.* Provide documentation according to policy and procedures (IEP updates and reports)* Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, or standards.* Adhere to infection control policies and protocols to protect students and other involved professionals.* Other duties as assigned.*EDUCATION** Master's degree in Occupational Therapy* Graduate of an accredited program.*EXPERIENCE** Minimum of one year of experience post-license in occupational therapy.* Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to and communicate with students, families, and other adult population.* Demonstrated knowledge of children' growth and development.* Able to assess data reflecting student's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each student's requirements relative to their age-specific needs.*CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE** Valid New York State license as a Registered Occupational Therapist*KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS** Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact well with diverse student populations.* Experience with building relationships, emphasizing excellence, negotiation, results driven, planning and execution.* Self-starter who requires minimal supervision*PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by individuals assigned to the job classification.
