- Perform Occupational Therapy evaluations for appropriate children
- Enhance level of functioning in areas of visual, auditory, somatosensory (tactile, proprioceptive, and vestibular) perception
- Maintain or improve motor functioning through range of motion, muscle strengthening, gross and fine motor coordination activities, normalization of muscle tone
- Achieve maximum level of independence in toileting, feeding, dressing, grooming, mobility, object manipulation and communication
- Adapt equipment design, construction, and instruction for use
- Develop appropriate visual motor skills to enhance hand-eye coordination
QUALIFICATIONS:
- NYS Certification as a Registered Occupational Therapist
- Knowledge of curriculum and effective instructional strategies
- Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team
