- Pay grade ranges from $84,000-$91,000
Occupational Therapist Overview Join our dedicated team as an Occupational Therapist at Melmark New England, where you will provide clinical occupational therapy services to individuals. You will manage treatment through direct therapeutic services, track information, and offer consultative services as needed. This role is ideal for a skilled therapist who can work with children, adolescents, and adults with autism spectrum disorders, acquired brain injuries, neurological diseases, and comorbid mental health disorders. You will implement highly technical clinical and teaching programs, requiring constant alertness, attentiveness, and readiness to respond to students' needs.
Occupational Therapist Requirements - Graduate of an approved Occupational Therapy Program with a Bachelor's or Master's degree
- Current licensure for occupational therapy in Massachusetts
- Minimum of two (2) years of occupational therapy experience preferred
Occupational Therapist Responsibilities - Provide direct clinical occupational therapy services to Melmark New England individuals
- Manage treatment through direct therapeutic services, tracking information, and offering consultative services as needed
- Use and maintain student adaptive equipment and augmentative devices, filing incident reports immediately if any defects
- Collect data accurately and demonstrate good problem-solving skills while working with students
- Implement IEP objectives as written and designed, ensuring maximum independence growth
- Conduct IOA on therapy-related programs with staff a minimum of one time per month
- Conduct thorough assessments/screenings upon student admission and complete discharge summaries as needed
- Complete service delivery on a weekly basis, recording missed services and coding sessions
