Occupational Therapist - OTCome join us at Ozanam Hall Nursing Home of Queens! A Faith-Based, Nonprofit, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Skilled Geriatric Care facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm, we've served the community since 1971. We are a place of life, a place of caring, and more importantly, a true home for our residents. We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist - OT.
  • Exciting opportunity for an experienced, dynamic Occupational Therapist in a renowned non-profit SNF with a sub-acute program.
  • $82,000 to $88,000 annually based on skills and experience.
Occupational Therapist - OT Qualifications:
  • Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Licensed and in good standing by the State of New York and current registration.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with knowledge of MDS, EHR, as well as familiarity with the delivery of clinical services to the Geriatric population.
  • Strong leadership qualities to provide supervision to COTA/OTAs.
Occupational Therapist - OT Job Summary:
  • Perform evaluations, design treatment plans, and administer Occupational Therapy as prescribed by a physician.
  • Supervise professional and non-professional Occupational Therapy staff in delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
  • Assign case load and other related tasks to Occupational Therapy staff consistent with their education and experience.
  • Coordinate Occupational Therapy with other appropriate services for assigned residents.
  • Report at meetings on specific residents.
  • Respond to requests on appropriate resident care (i.e. provision of equipment, positioning, etc.).
  • Complete required documentation for resident's medical records.
  • Participate in In-Service Education program within the Rehabilitation Department.
  • Provide recommendations for carry over of Occupational Therapy program, encourage resident independence and for resident safety.
  • Coordinate and supervise Adaptive Feeding Program: Make recommendations to appropriate staff and monitors provision of adaptive feeding equipment.
