- Exciting opportunity for an experienced, dynamic Occupational Therapist in a renowned non-profit SNF with a sub-acute program.
- $82,000 to $88,000 annually based on skills and experience.
Occupational Therapist - OT Qualifications:
- Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Licensed and in good standing by the State of New York and current registration.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with knowledge of MDS, EHR, as well as familiarity with the delivery of clinical services to the Geriatric population.
- Strong leadership qualities to provide supervision to COTA/OTAs.
Occupational Therapist - OT Job Summary:
- Perform evaluations, design treatment plans, and administer Occupational Therapy as prescribed by a physician.
- Supervise professional and non-professional Occupational Therapy staff in delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
- Assign case load and other related tasks to Occupational Therapy staff consistent with their education and experience.
- Coordinate Occupational Therapy with other appropriate services for assigned residents.
- Report at meetings on specific residents.
- Respond to requests on appropriate resident care (i.e. provision of equipment, positioning, etc.).
- Complete required documentation for resident's medical records.
- Participate in In-Service Education program within the Rehabilitation Department.
- Provide recommendations for carry over of Occupational Therapy program, encourage resident independence and for resident safety.
- Coordinate and supervise Adaptive Feeding Program: Make recommendations to appropriate staff and monitors provision of adaptive feeding equipment.
