Job Summary

  • The Occupational Therapist is accountable for evaluating, planning, and executing all aspects of Occupational Therapy, infant through geriatric, with disabilities, disorders, and injuries to develop and restore maximal functional level.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to respond to specific issues and data reflective of the patient/customer's status.
  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the population served in the department.
  • In Swingbed, the primary caseload is 18 and older, pediatrics caseload is birth to 21, with occasional coverage for patients in other age ranges.

Education and/or Experience

  • Master's Degree is required.
  • Doctorate Degree is preferred.
  • 0-6 months experience is required.
  • 1-2 years' experience is preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License is required.

CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, and/or REGISTRATIONS

  • Must be currently licensed to practice Occupational Therapy by the South Dakota Board of Medical and Osteopathic Examiners.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) is required.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) is preferred.

Work Schedule

  • 8:00 am - 5:00 pm as needed; PRN

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

  • $30.25 - $45.75 per hour
