The faculty member is responsible for developing and delivering classroom or laboratory instruction (in accordance with approved course outline guides) and for evaluating student learning in classroom or laboratory settings. This is done for both traditional students on the LBCC campus and distance-education students at partner community college sites. The faculty member may also develop and deliver classroom instruction in their area of expertise.

Education and Experience:
* Initially Certified Occupational Therapist or Occupational Therapy Assistant, currently licensed to practice in Oregon plus experience in the field of occupational therapy equivalent to 4 years full-time, including practice as an occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree preferred.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
* Requires the ability to work with staff and students.
* Work is performed in an office or classroom setting with minimal exposure to safety or health hazards.
Essential Duties:
* Work with the faculty team to develop the classroom or laboratory component of the OTA program, including methods of instruction for skill development, procedures for assessment of student learning, and materials for demonstration, practice, and assessment purposes.
* Plan, prepare, and deliver classroom or laboratory instruction.
* Evaluate student learning.
* Identify, recommend, and monitor instructional equipment, materials, and supplies needed for laboratory or classroom instruction, demonstration, and evaluation.
* Follow and enforce safe practice at all times, including OSHA Standards and Universal, Standard, and Transmission-based Precautions.
* Keep accurate records of attendance and grades.
* Travel to and from LBCC campus and partner community college classroom or laboratory sites as assigned.
* Develop and deliver classroom or laboratory instruction.
* Maintain current knowledge of the professional discipline and educational methodologies through continued professional development.
* Communicate and work effectively with students and staff of various cultures, socioeconomic backgrounds and ages, and successfully interact with supervisors, colleagues and staff as part of an education team.
* Abide by the current code of ethics of the profession of occupational therapy.

Salary and Compensation Information:
Courses are paid on a per-credit basis. New Part-time Faculty begin at Step 1 of the payscale, with steps being rolled once per term.
