In addition to traditional COTA duties, your role may involve aiding in data collection, conducting mobility screens, and providing mobility support for patients. Assisting Occupational Therapist: Collaborate with the Occupational Therapist to provide direct patient care in accordance with the prescribed treatment plan and goals. Contribute to treatment sessions, therapy interventions, and progress assessments.2. Acute Care & Outpatient Services: Work in both acute care and outpatient settings to address patients' needs and facilitate their recovery and functional independence.3. Data Collection: Assist in gathering relevant patient information, documenting progress, and maintaining organized records to support treatment planning and decision-making.4. Mobility Screens: Conduct mobility screenings to assess patients' physical capabilities and identify areas that require focused intervention.5. Mobility Support: Provide mobility support and training to patients, including assistance with transferring, walking, and using mobility aids, to enhance their independence and safety.6. Evaluation Transcription: When required, accurately transcribe evaluations conducted by the Occupational Therapist, ensuring completeness and precision in the documentation.7. Patient Care: Interact with patients in a compassionate and empathetic manner, fostering a positive therapeutic environment and ensuring their safety and comfort during therapy sessions.8. Equipment and Environment: Ensure proper setup and maintenance of therapy equipment and treatment areas, promoting a safe and conducive space for therapy activities.9. Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on appropriate therapeutic activities and exercises to support carry-over of treatment goals outside of therapy sessions.10. Team Collaboration: Foster a collaborative and team-oriented approach, working closely with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care and positive treatment outcomes.11.
