We help our customers break away from yesterday's business model to succeed in today's world. Operational Responsibilities
  • Review daily booking activity from an operational and compliance perspective. Review routing, carrier selection, sailing schedules and transit time to ensure compliance with company and client expectations
  • Audit bookings to ensure PO/shipment management requirements are adhered to (PO/SKU construct, piece count description, etc.)
  • Ensure all required fields and codes are accurately maintained and issues identified and resolved at time of booking
  • Ensure AMS & ISF, E-Manifest (ACI), Japan AFR accuracy is maintained and BOL's are on file. Identify and resolve issues at time of booking
  • Timely presentation of booking confirmations and manage all required follow up with clients and agents
  • Ensure out gate, container loaded, in gate dates are accurately maintained and milestones are updated and reported as necessary
  • Ensure transshipments are tracked and sailing schedules maintained. Manage and report delays to effected parties
  • Issue loading and revised loading confirmations timely
  • Create file numbers at the appropriate time and ensure documentation/traffic departments are aware of any issues that may impact schedules
Key Skills and Qualifications A booking position at the company requires a specific skill set. Below is a list of skills minimally required to execute the requirements/expectations:
  • Strong geographical awareness and experience routing international cargo
  • Understanding of ocean carrier services and operations (including carrier partnerships/alliances)
  • Understanding of international transportation pricing practices and associated administration
  • Ability to provide support and guidance to agents, clients, sales people in regard to routing/pricing
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interpret foreign language to English translation
  • Understanding of industry used terminology
  • Experience working in a fast paced, team oriented, deadline driven department
  • Understanding of AMS and ISF processing and compliance
  • Problem solving experience and confidence to challenge status quo
  • Computer literacy and strong organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skill
  • A Degree in business, supply chain management, finance or geography is seen as an advantage

Salary range: $40,000 to $60,000, depending on experience. INDHP
