Job Description:

Job Summary: The responsibilities of the Sea Freight Customer Care Specialist include but are not limited to the coordination of Sea Import shipments such as, opening import files, production of internal documentation, updating import statuses, assisting, and advising customers, processing invoices (including price conversions and verifying shipment weight and volume), dealing with e-mail queries as well as ensuring that excellent standard of data accuracy.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates with shippers, truckers. Steamship lines, customs brokers for import of shipments
  • Complete the import process including correct equipment settings, booking, routing and document preparation
  • Ensure all aspects of each shipment are in compliance with established SOP requirements
  • Maintaining communications with customers, customs brokers, carriers and internal overseas offices to choose proper routing.
  • Negotiate cost-effective rates with service providers to ensure maximum profitability
  • Participate in quotes for overseas offices and local sales reps as requested

Skills:

  • Minimum 2 year in similar position within Sea Freight, air or land transportation.
  • Proficient with MS Office platforms
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Critical thinking and self-starter
