Budget Title: Staff Assistant (SL-2)
Salary: $50,000 - $52,000
Binghamton University invites applications for the position of Off Campus Program Coordinator. The successful applicant will join the team of the Office of the Dean of Students in a diverse, dynamic, high-energy environment to accomplish the department's mission of providing student centered programs and services through collaboration with students, faculty, and other professionals.
The Program Coordinator will:
+ Coordinate all aspects of a valuable off campus housing program. This includes:
+ Listings
+ Housing fairs
+ Collaboration with code enforcement
+ Educational programming related to off campus housing
+ Manage and assess data related to Off Campus Housing and the University Legal Clinic.
+ Facilitate a partnership with Off Campus College Council (OC3) and the Student Association to best support off campus students.
+ Create and distribute a monthly Off Campus Newsletter.
+ Provide regular presentations and student programs dedicated to the needs of Off Campus students.
+ Manage the local commuter lounge and facilitate programming related to local commuter students.
+ Create and manage a local commuter student mentor program.
+ Create, manage, and track an On to Off Campus course or online module.
+ Support other Off Campus initiatives as needed.
+ Participate in professional development activities that enhance student learning, understanding of the field, application of student development concepts, and developments in the area of student programming.
Job Requirements:
+ Bachelor's degree
+ Availability/ability to provide frequent late night and weekend programming is required
Preferred:
+ Master's degree in Student Affairs or related field
