Responsibilities

? Operations Supervisor may support, specialize, or focus on one or more customers or locations

for transport needs

? Communicate with Customer Service to accept loads for transport

? Verify the accuracy of dispatch instructions

? Manage drivers dispatch and attendance

? Schedule customer pickups and deliveries; track throughout process

? Coordinate dispatch needs with multiple terminals

? Monitor trailer pools; anticipate needs and arrange maintenance as needed

? Coordinate vehicle repairs with Maintenance Department to minimize the down-time and insure

availability of sufficient equipment to answer customers' needs

? Update and maintain customer statistics and reports.

? Enters data into computer system using defined computer programs

? Enter trip details for processing driver payroll

? Review routes for driver deliveries and pick-ups

? Recommends actions to increase the productivity or profitability of the dispatch process.

? Investigates questionable data.

? Any other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.

? Manage and Coach Drivers for Hours of Service utilization.

? Manage and Coach Drivers on Miles per Gallon improvements.

? Manage and Coach Drivers on their Safety Performance

The essential functions of this role include:

+ working up to 5 hrs of overtime per week
