Job Summary Job Description This position is responsible for assisting the dean and program directors with coordination of all programs in the Allied Health and Nursing Division (located in Allied Health and Nursing Office Suite). ***This position will be posted until 12/27/2024. Candidate selection will begin the week of 1/16/2025*** Minimum Qualifications
  • Strong written communication skills sufficient to write, prepare, and edit materials such as memos, procedures, reports, presentations, etc., using correct spelling, punctuation, grammar, and sentence construction and clearly explaining complex technical ideas and procedures to varied technical and non-technical audiences;
  • English sufficient to (1) speak, read, understand, and respond to written and spoken communication with customers; (2) file and retrieve information based on content, using alphabetical filing practices; (3) write, prepare, and edit materials, using correct spelling, punctuation, grammar, and sentence construction;
  • Customer service skills sufficient to actively listen to and understand customer needs and provide accurate information and appropriate alternatives in a timely, thorough, courteous, respectful, and professional manner in person, over the phone, and in writing;
  • Demonstrated experience and high aptitude in using technology, including office productivity applications (MS Office, enterprise calendar and e-mail, file sharing, and document collaboration) and presentation/meeting technology such as PowerPoint, videoconferencing, teleconferencing.
  • Word processing skills sufficient to develop and modify correspondence, records, and reports, and the ability to use software to create, format, edit, print and save a variety of documents, including emails, memos and reports.
  • Knowledge of standard computer software programs for word processing, spreadsheets, and databases sufficient to create, modify, and protect files
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping/accounting procedures.

  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully with persons from diverse backgrounds, and commitment to diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • AA Degree or 5 years of verifiable work experience in an office setting.
  • Possess knowledge and understanding of Minnesota State Colleges and Universities and college procedures for a wide variety of circumstances and demonstrate the ability to act accordingly.
  • The experience, organizational and personal skills necessary to perform assigned work independently, efficiently, in a timely manner, problem-solve, plan, communicate and prioritize work.
