BASSE seeks an office administrator who will assist our students, families, teachers, school leadership, and other staff. WHO WE ARE The Bryan Allen Stevenson School of Excellence (BASSE) is a free public charter school that will grow to serve grades 6 through 12 in Sussex County, Delaware. Opening in the fall of 2024 with grades 6, 7, and 8, BASSE aims to provide a personalized academic experience focusing on service-learning and leadership opportunities for our students and staff. Inspired by our school's namesake, Bryan Stevenson, a prolific social justice activist and lawyer from Milton, Delaware, the BASSE community has dedicated its mission to proximity. WHO YOU ARE BASSE seeks an office administrator to join our inaugural staff to help us prepare the next generation of learners to be the next generation of leaders. - You can develop a working knowledge of the school climate, facilities, staff, systems, and operations of BASSE.

- You remain organized, manage time effectively, and report to work promptly.
Responsibilities Under the supervision of the Head of School and director of operations and facilities, the Office Administrator will: - Manage multi-line phone system, including scheduling repairs.
- Document office traffic (visitors, students, staff).
- Confirm attendance and complete all related duties (tracking tardy students/ truancy).
- Maintain student files.
- Oversee copiers and other office equipment.
- Assist with the lottery, enrollment, and registration process.
- Manage dismissal list.
- Pick up and deliver mail to the Post Office when needed.
- Schedule and assist with fire and intruder drills.
- Schedule and assist with open houses and other current student/family-facing events.
- Provide school tours to prospective parents/students.
- Maintain up-to-date security badges and access.
- Assist with morning and afternoon announcements.
- Handle Award/ Certificate distribution.
- Track supply re-stocking.
- Other duties as assigned
This position requires approximately 37.5 hours per week for 12 months. A criminal background check and TB test are required. Required and Desired Attributes - At least three (3) years of administrative support
- Associate degree in business preferred
Compensation and Benefits - Comparable salary with other local districts and charter schools
