NSHS is a fast-growing public charter school network in Nevada hosting one central office and serving approximately 1,000 11th and 12th grade students in nine (9) locations. We continue to meet the community's demand of preparing high school students to attend college without having to take remedial coursework. General Purpose of the Position: Under the direction of the Director of Site Administration, the Office Aide serves the school by coordinating completion of a variety of general office activities and provides support to school administration, staff and specifically the site. The role supports the site within the Nevada State High School Network of Schools. As such, the position will require a high degree of accuracy, timeliness, and production across multiple functions including but not limited to: Duties Tasks and Support, SSR Processing, Registration Support, Mentoring, Student Support/Tutoring. Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities: As a vital member of our team, the successful candidate will be responsible for a range of essential tasks crucial to the smooth operation of our organization. This includes promptly answering phones, email messages, and help tickets within a 24-hour timeframe, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders. The role also involves confirming appointments, schedules, reservations, and student folders, demonstrating attention to detail in managing various administrative elements. The candidate will retrieve phone messages, return calls, and relay messages appropriately, providing essential support to the organization's overall communication strategy. Collaborating with the EAC, the candidate will assist in contacting absent students to ensure their needs are addressed promptly. Regularly checking Canvas and Remind for updated messages is an integral part of staying informed and responsive to dynamic requirements. Administrative duties include scanning any portfolio items collected and reporting submissions to the DSA for TrackVia updates, as well as registering new students and creating Canvas accounts for them. The candidate will actively support the OM in maintaining a neat and clean facility, providing an organized and conducive environment for both staff and students. Supporting students with deadlines through reminders and academic assistance, including facilitating tutoring when necessary, is a key aspect of this role. The candidate is expected to maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring efficient workflow. Additionally, responsibilities include logging SSRs on a spreadsheet and submitting them to the DSA, as well as accurately logging hours in ActiTime. Weekly responsibilities involve tasks such as emptying the N-Drive, assisting with testing administration for college proctoring and placements, and reviewing registering student files, contacting students with incomplete/missing documents. Monthly responsibilities include submitting a Monthly Schedule Request by the 25th and contributing to the overall efficiency and organization of the team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a responsive and organized administrative environment.
