- Answers phone, reads and responds to e-mail, takes and routes messages, directs and makes phone calls
- Performs general clerical duties such as sorting the mail, filing, and making photocopies
- Registers new students and manages records requests, as needed.
- Performs a variety of data entry and retrieval tasks including maintaining electronic data files, lists, etc.
- Assists customers and provides high-quality customer service
- Serves as backup/substitute for secretary or other support staff member as assigned with appropriate training and supervision
- Maintains confidentiality of documents, student records, office business, etc.
- All other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Demonstrates good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to provide quality customer service in a courteous and professional manner
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with others
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, preferably in a Macintosh environment; e-mail, and data entry
- Previous successful work experience in an educational or office setting preferred
- High school diploma or GED is required.
