- Assists customers with open records requests
- Accepts and logs payments for documents and services
- Provides fingerprinting services
- Provides local criminal history checks in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Processes incoming office mail
- Performs data entry into the police records management system
- Prepares, files and maintains physical or electronic records and documents in required formats
- Conducts data base searches
- Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year of experience in customer service-related field
- Ability to successfully pass a typing test with a minimum of 40 WPM
- Pass extensive criminal background check and polygraph exam and evaluation
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in law enforcement office
- Familiar with law enforcement terminology
Licenses and Certifications
- Able to obtain TLETS (Texas Law Enforcement Telecommunications System) TCIC/NCIC (Texas Crime Information Center/ National Crime Information Center) Terminal Operator certification within six (6) months of employment
