The Social Services Department is seeking two new support staff team members to support our Veteran's Services and Child Welfare Services departments! These individuals will support the department by assisting with clerical tasks related to the department units including:
  • Greeting and assisting customers.
  • Processing incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Answering phones.
  • Completing and filing forms, and other clerical support duties as assigned.
Applicants interested in an Office Assistant I (OA I) level will have completed twelfth grade and have coursework or practical experience in typing. Candidates qualified for the Office Assistant II will meet the requirements for OA I and also have two years of general clerical experience at the OA I level. This position is part-time temporary; part-time employees work an average of 20 hours but not more than 29 hours per week, for a maximum of 1000 hours per fiscal year. Sick Leave: Temporary County employees shall accrue at the rate of one (1) hour of sick leave for each thirty (30) hours worked.
