Job Title:OFFICE ASSISTANT
Summary
The Office Assistant is responsible for assisting the Child Placing Agency (CPA) Program Director in administrative and secretarial duties.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Responding to initial contacts from clients.
Responding to request for program information.
Screening of all TCCC Foster Program telephone calls.
Assist Program Director in preparing statistical, financial reports and request for funding.
Prepare Leadership Meeting Report and Board of Directors Report for CPA.
Review, audit, and maintain up to date Foster Homes and Children's files.
Maintain graduate Interns and staff files.
Schedule training with foster parents and staff.
Organization and maintenance of agency filing system.
Typing of all correspondence, program reports and client files.
Perform special assignments and duties as instructed by supervisor.
Provide transportation to children in care when required.
Some weekends and evenings are required.
LINE OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Office Assistant will report directly to the Program Director of CPA.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: -
* Minimum high school diploma/ GED.
* Must read and write in English, preference bilingual in Spanish.
* Demonstrate an understanding and knowledge of dealing with social services clients and children.
* Have six months of childcare experience or volunteer credit working with children, preferably, but not required.
* Ability to multi-task.
REQUIREMENTS FOR CHILD PLACING
* Minimum age of 21.
* Valid driver's license.
ADDITIONAL TRAINING: -
* CPR and First Aid certification.
* Childhood Development, Child Abuse, Trauma Informed Care, Discipline, Emergency Behavior Intervention, and Transportation. This training will be provided after hiring
DRUG TESTING:
* Pass a drug test screening.
CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK: -
* Pass a criminal background check Department of Public Safety (DPS), Abuse and Neglect Registry, and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
