EDGECOMBE COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS JOB DESCRIPTION POSITION: Office Assistant QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Minimum, high school diploma; Post high school courses in Business or related field, preferred;2. Minimum of one year of work experience;3. Good communication skills (verbal and written);4. Extensive knowledge of and experience with MicroS0ft WORD and AS400 required;5. Demonstrated organizational and communication skills. REPORTS TO: School-based administrator or Program Director JOB GOAL: Provide clerical support and office assignments/management to ensure effective and efficient school/program operations. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs general clerical and office duties;
- Performs office/program assignments, as assigned;
- Maintains office data and records, as assigned;
- Provides other such duties, which may be assigned.
SALARY: Edgecombe County Public Schools Classified Salary Schedule TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 10 months/8 hours per day, or as determined by funding/program needs. Manual Dexterity: Requires the ability to handle a variety of items such as office equipment and hand tools. Must have minimal levels of eye/hand/foot coordination. Must be adaptable to performing under stress and when confronted with emergency situations.
