General Description
The STEP Academy ( at Baruch College is looking to hire a part-time office assistant until May 30th. The program is a STEM enrichment and college preparation program serving 240 middle and high school students annually.
The part-time office assistant will assist executive staff in fulfilling the requirements of the grant by providing administrative support, managing inventory, and office coverage.
Schedule: 10-12 hours, two days a week from 9am. Additional or flexible hours when hosting afternoon events.
Other Duties
+ Assist with the recruitment efforts and enrollment of participants
+ Coordinate and plan new student orientations
+ Manage attendance and participation records
+ Assist with data collection and reporting requirements
+ Liaise with campus departments, partner organizations, and school personnel
+ Manage social media platforms
+ Perform general administrative duties (emails, photocopies, outreach, etc.)
+ Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
+ Earned college credits
+ Possess good interpersonal and communication skills
+ Collaborative nature and experience working on teams
+ Prior experience working in an administrative capacity
Preferred Qualifications
+ Graduate student
+ Prior experience working with similar programs or in a college environment
+ Have an interest in education, college readiness, or youth development
+ Experience working with middle or high school populations
