Performs routine clerical duties within established procedures and standard practices. Tasks performed are outlined in oral and written instructions; employee has some control over work assignments. Each position will have a specific set of work assignments particular to meeting the needs of the students or department being served. Essential Job FunctionsEssential Job Functions:
- Provides clerical assistance to include reprographics, filing, maintaining records and ordering supplies and materials.
- Assembles and disseminates information.
- Performs light typing of correspondence or other material from rough draft.
- Screens visitors, telephone calls, and incoming mail.
- Responds to routine inquiries from parents, citizens and others regarding school programs and schedules.
- Acts as an information resource to students and faculty regarding a variety of matters related to routine school operations and policies.
- Provides and obtains information requested from within and outside the organization.
- Assists with data entry, data management and record keeping.
- Assists in the clinic in the absence of the clinic assistant.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Budgetary Responsibility: N/A Report Preparation: May be required to prepare reports for use by the building principal related to operations and programs. Equipment Operation: Proficient in computer use and general office equipment. Contacts:General public and school staff - daily, to obtain or provide information.
