This employee will be responsible for making independent decisions and carrying out a wide variety of complex clerical work in accordance with established processes and procedures. This person shall have the ability to identify the accuracy and completeness of the information that is presented for processing, identify additional items that may be necessary, and take steps to address those items. This position serves as the main line receptionist for Maintenance and Operations and answers all incoming calls for the Unit, sort and distributing mail, complete and process; journals, invoice payments, payments for eye exams/lens reimbursement, professional license renewals, speed zone submittals, submit Commission Record material, issue and distribute crossover permits, complete and process exemption certificates, monitor the units Outlook inbox, order office supplies, processing cell phone and business card requests, document scanning, and typing/distributing various documents or material. This individual will cross train on critical tasks of other clericals in order to serve as backup. To be minimally qualified for this position candidates must provide evidence of the following experience: Training, education, or experience in office and administrative support work that demonstrates 1) competency in applying a solid knowledge of modern office practices to perform complex office support tasks that are similar in nature, and 2) the ability to use independent judgment in handling exceptions to established work assignments, priorities, and schedules.
