BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION:This position is an integral part of the Department's Environmental Team, that provides reception duties for the front office.

This primary focus of the Office Associate II position is:

+ Answering incoming phone calls

+ Routing spill calls for the entire state appropriately and in a timely manner

+ Greeting visitors

+ Distributing incoming mail

+ Preparing outgoing mail

+ Photocopying

+ Laminating documents

+ Maintaining office supplies

+ Forwarding requests for building maintenance to BGS

In addition, this position provides administrative support to Department programs through data entry, coordinating maintenance of the Bureau's pool vehicles. The Office Associate II position needs to be motivated, dedicated, flexible, detail-oriented and can work under time-sensitive deadlines while being a team player. This position routinely lifts 25 lbs. The hours for this position are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Training, education, or experience in office and administrative support work that demonstrates 1) competency in applying a solid knowledge of modern office practices to perform complex, varied office support tasks, and 2) the ability to use independent decision-making on the appropriate processes to follow, information to process, and actions to take in accordance with standard procedures. All positions in this classification assume the qualifications of: Office Assistant I , Office Assistant II , and Office Associate I .
