Detailed Position Description
St. Mary's College of Maryland at Historic St. Mary's City is accepting rsums for the position of Office Associate II, serving Schaefer Hall. Responsibilities include performing complex duties such as record keeping, data entry, follow-up functions, and administrative detail to assist the faculty departmental programs. Must be well organized and possess good administrative and interpersonal skills. Receives minimal supervision and independently exercises considerable discretion and judgment in all work areas; may handle confidential and sensitive issues. May supervise other clerical employees and student employees.
Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent; Associates Degree preferred. Applicant must have thorough working knowledge of modern office practices and various computer software packages, be well-organized and attend to details, able to handle sensitive situations, and possess strong verbal and written communications skills with at least five (5) years of full-time employment in the secretarial/administration field. Any combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position, may be considered. Employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.
Salary: $38,980, plus an excellent benefits package that includes but is not limited to 18 paid holidays, 12 days annual leave, 3 paid personal days, health benefit and prescription plans, pension plan, and tuition waiver plan.
