Position Summary Under general supervision of the Cemetery Director, this position performs a variety of administrative duties in support of cemetery operations. Areas of responsibility include coordination of committal, interment, and pre-registration programs in accordance with prescribed operating/regulatory requirements; organization of record keeping, correspondence and filing. Salary Information The pay for this position is $18.54 per hour. This job does not offer employee benefits. This position is in pay schedule and range 02-09. This position is not represented by a bargaining unit
Job Details This position may work up to 40 hours a week, based on the needs of the Cemetery. The duties of this position require working outdoors in support of funeral services as necessary. This position may also support the grounds staff with the loading and unloading of the casket or cremated remains for transportation to the grave site. The incumbent must possess or be eligible to obtain a valid Wisconsin driver's license prior to appointment and be able to meet and maintain the standards for driving a state vehicle according to fleet management policies. LTE jobs are limited to 1039 hours in a 12-month period and do not include employee benefits. Due to the nature of the positions, WDVA will conduct a criminal background check prior to an offer of employment. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States (i.e., a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship) at the time of application. The WDVA does not sponsor work or student visas, either at time of hire or at any later time.
Qualifications Minimally qualified applicants will have training and/or experience with:
- Office administration (e.g., record keeping, form completion, scanning/printing, etc.); AND
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
