Classification: Competititve SKILLS: Approachable, confidential, organized and able to multi-task, flexible, patient, excellent public relations skills, collaborative, detail oriented, excellent communication skills, ability to work without direction and manage complex activities in a fast-paced office environment, strong time management skills. Experience with IEP Direct/Frontline Direct and Infinite Campus preferred. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Management of CPSE scheduling, securing of services, IEP follow up and prior written notice.
  • Out of district CSE scheduling and follow up regarding IEP's and prior written notice.
  • Complete appropriate CPSE and CSE tasks in line with special education regulations and timelines.
  • Maintenance of McKinney-Vento listing, documentation in student management system and submission of STACS.
  • Process record requests for SSI/disability applications.
  • Coordinate process relative to Medicaid eligible students.
  • Assist in BEDS day reporting relative to preschool and out of district students.
Civil Service: Those individuals classified as Office Clerk III OR reachable on the current Civil Service Office Clerk III list OR otherwise qualified by the rules of the Monroe County Civil Service Commission will be considered. You do not need to be on the Civil Service list or hold the title, but if you are the selected candidate then the position would be temporary. You must than take the next available exam for the title and be reachable on the list to be permanently appointed. QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma, plus EITHER:
  • Successful completion of at least thirty (30) credit hours from a college or university; OR,
  • One (1) year paid full-time or its part-time equivalent office clerical or secretarial experience*; OR,
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above.
    • The ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
    • The ability to work collaboratively with peers and colleagues.
    • The ability to carry out oral and written instructions.
    • Displays a positive attitude and builds healthy relationships with students, staff and families.
    *Experience as a Teller, Cashier or Sales Clerk will not be considered appropriate experience for the purposes of these minimum qualifications. NOTE: Your degree must have been awarded by a college or university accredited by a regional, national, or specialized agency recognized as an accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education/U.S Secretary of Education.
