Responsibilities
  • Tabulate and post data in record books
  • Compile records and reports
  • Prepare stock inventory
  • Perform clerical duties including typing, filing, and completion of simple forms
  • Copy, sort, and file records related to office activities, business transactions, and other matters
  • Prepare letters, memos, forms, and reports according to written or verbal instructions
  • Maintain filing systems for invoices and vehicle purchase documents
  • Answer multi-line phone system, direct calls to appropriate individuals, and prepare messages
  • Receive cash, checks, and credit payments from guests and record properly
  • Compute or verify accuracy of guests' bills using the dealership's system
  • Make change, cash checks, and issue receipts to guests
  • Work with department managers to stay abreast of new products and services offered, their features and value, and any changes in price
  • Resolve guest complaints with integrity and poise, and notify a manager or advisor of the issue for further discussion
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or the equivalent
  • 2 years' experience in automotive accounting preferred
  • Ability to type and utilize all functions of a computer and various operating programs
  • Dealer Track experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with a high level of proficiency in Excel
  • Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Available to work a full-time five-day work week, with some flexibility with the hours adjusting based on the needs of the business
  • Prepared to work extended hours, when necessary, to achieve goals
  • Team oriented, flexible, and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and subsequent random drug screens
