This role partners with General Managers and business partners on budgeting and forecasting, along with ad hoc analysis such as optimal rooms expense and weekly/monthly revenue analysis. Additionally, this position supports accounting processes.Essential FunctionsManage the payroll process by ensuring discussions take place to assist with managers time approval. This includes proper cut off procedures, correct deductions and payment, and 401k payment processingManage the headcount expenses by department to benchmark against internal and external compsAssist Finance team with P&L analytics and insightsSupport the broader Accounting and Finance team with accounting processes such as bank reconciliationsModel revenue for daily, monthly, and yearly average daily revenue and occupancy analysis for forecasting insightsAssist in the preparation of monthly financial reports along with analytical insights to increase awareness of sales and cost driversPreparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costsAnalyze aged receivables for collection riskCoordinate and direct the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecastsLeverage Microsoft Power BI and excel analytics to deep dive opportunities and risks for laborFollow all Suburban Inns ProcessesUndertake special projects requested by managementExhibit regular and recurrent attendance recordsPosition Requirements:Minimum Knowledge: Requires Excel financial modeling, analysis, PowerPoint and word processing. Good communication skills.Formal Education and Job-Related Experience: This position requires a minimum formal education of an associates degree or equivalent related experienceExternal and Internal Personal Contact:Communications:Daily- Verbal &Written.
