Waldorf University, located in Forest City Iowa, has an immediate opening for the
Academic Achievement Center Office Coordinator. This is a full-time, non-exempt,
academic year position reporting to the Director of the Academic Achievement Center (AAC). This position offers the opportunity to work in residential college setting as part of a team that services the academic support needs of students. The successful applicant will be able to work in an environment with regular person to person contact requiring a high level of service and attention to detail. The hours of position are 7:30 to 4:00 Monday through Friday during the academic year (August through mid-May), with flexible, minimal hours during the summer months for estimated total hours of 1,664 annually or 42 wks/year.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities: - Greet and welcome students.
- Administrative tasks including, but not limited to records management, appointment scheduling, answering phones, scanning, mail processing, photocopying.
- Assist with coordination of programs/services provided by the AAC.
- Collect and disseminate 4- and 11-week grade checks for students in AAC programs.
- Coordinate letters and appointments below 2.0 at midterms.
- Monitor, record, and report study hours/tables for AAC programs and athletic teams.
- Maintain student use and staff computer printers in AAC.
- Proctor tests given in AAC.
- Collect/maintain data for AAC.
- Protect student confidentiality.
- Maintain databases and perform periodical mailings.
- Collect/disseminate confidential materials required of AAC programs.
- Assist AAC staff with projects/requests as needed.
- Supervise work study students (office and/or tutors)
- Organize and oversee tutoring program.
- Maintain tutor library.
- Schedule study tables and tutors.
- Order and maintain office supplies.
- Oversee office upkeep in conjunction with facilities staff.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Education / Experience - AA required; bachelor's preferred.
- Knowledge of and skill with standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and database programs; accurate keyboard /data entry skills.
- Experience and appreciation for academic support services in a post-secondary setting.
Skills Required: - Excellent customer service and listening skills.

- Ability to relate well with students, their academic needs and maintain confidentiality.
