Relies on knowledge, experience, and judgment to accomplish tasks in combination with clinical supervision from the registered nurse and direction from the Registered Nurse and/or Administrator. Requires graduation from an accredited licensed nurse program and current LPN license with no restrictions to practice nursing.Pay: $28/hrSchedule: M-F 8:30a-5p ESTSign-On Bonus: $4,000Job Responsibilities:Provide holistic nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilitiesObserve, assist with gathering health related data, and report the health needs or the people we support to the registered nurseCoordinate preventative and routine medical care for people supportedDocument nursing care providedAssist physicians with on-site medical clinics where applicableProvide health related trainings to unlicensed personnel according to state regulationsConduct medication pass observations in the home to ensure staff competency according to state regulationsConduct medication closest assessmentsPerform quality assurance checks and observations to ensure unlicensed personnel are performing health related tasks as assigned according to state regulationsObserve for and report any abnormal health related findings to the physicianCommunicate with physicians, pharmacies, medical suppliers, and the Interdisciplinary TeamAdvocate for the people supported and assist with developing community supports to promote optimal health for the people supportedJob RequirementsGraduation from an accredited licensed nurse programCurrent LPN license with no restrictions to practice nursing.Current CPR Certification or eligibility to certify for CPRMust be able to communicate effectively with Interdisciplinary Team Members, as well as the people supported and their familiesMust be able to work independently, be organized, and possess the ability to prioritize work tasksPhysical requirements include: ability to regularly lift 20 pounds. Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds. Must be able to pull a minimum of 25 pounds. Must be able to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop. Must be able to regularly stand and walk. Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in CPR from the floor level. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
