POSITION: - Office Manager (Elsa Meyer Elementary) 220 days
JOB DESCRIPTION: The office manager will assist the building principal in the management of the school office and will maintain proper records for the various operations that are essential for the successful operation of the school office, and will manage all funds that are channeled through the building office.JOB / DISTRICT / COMMUNITY HIGHLIGHTS: Corunna Public Schools is looking for the best person available. Our district is known for offering quality education in a small-town environment with the amenities of a larger community (our district buildings are five minutes away from Applebee's, Culver's, Meijer, WalMart, etc.). Our county's cost of living is incredibly low. We are a class B school (around 130 students per grade level) with a reputation for higher standards. We have an award-winning inclusive preschool. Our school is the community hub, Homecoming is still a big deal in our small town, which is the county seat. Our community is incredibly supportive of our district as well. We have high-achieving athletic teams and award-winning extra-curricular programs. Despite having many students coming to us via school of choice, our constituents passed a pair of bond proposals since 2015. All active Corunna employees can enroll themselves and their eligible family members in the state's first onsite Cavalier Family Health Clinic. The clinic's goal is to provide (in almost all situations) free visits, free prescriptions, and other medical procedures for the active employee and her/his immediate family members. QUALIFICATIONS: - High school diploma (minimum)

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Enroll new students and process all paperwork
- Responsible for building state reporting
- Record daily, weekly and monthly attendance reports
- Responsible for meeting immunization requirements
- Assist all staff, substitutes, and volunteers
- Greet and assist parents and visitors
- File, update and maintain all student files
- Distribute and maintain records of daily medication
- General organization and management of office operations
- Collect and verify timesheets
- Create purchase orders
- Do all banking and manage the activity accounts within the building
- Provide reasonable care of sick and/or injured students, and notify parents
- Perform all other duties assigned by the building principal or his/her designee that are apparent for maintaining an efficient school operation
Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions: - Requires the ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods.
- Moderate lifting as frequently as needed to move objects; dexterity to write and manipulate computer keyboard and mouse; ability to hear and speak clearly; and body mobility to stoop, kneel, bend and reach.
