The Elbert County Health Department is seeking an Office Manager to provide support to health department staff, provide direct customer service, and programmatic support for the clinic. Duties include supervision of clerical staff including assisting with resolution of problems and technical assistance, oversight of patient charts, insurance billing and providing assistance to the clinic manager. Requires excellent customer service, communication, and computer skills.As an Office Manager within the Elbert County Health Department at the Georgia Department of Public Health, you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways. Job Responsibilities
  • Supports company operations by maintaining office systems and supervising staff.
  • Maintains office services by organizing office operations and procedures, controlling correspondence, designing filing systems, reviewing and approving supply requisitions, and assigning and monitoring clerical functions.
  • Provides historical reference by defining procedures for retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, transfer, and disposal of records.
  • Maintains office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, layouts, and equipment procurement.
  • Designs and implements office policies by establishing standards and procedures, measuring results against standards, and making necessary adjustments.
  • Keeps management informed by reviewing and analyzing special reports; summarizing information; identifying trends.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma/GED AND Three (3) years of job-related experienceOROne (1) year of experience required at the lower-level Admin Assistant 1 (GST050) or positionAnnual salary $39,500.
