Job Details Job Summary: Office Manager coordinates, implements and administers patient care services within the Radiology Department on a daily basis. The incumbent is guided by a broad knowledge of regulations governing reimbursement, knowledge of hospital information systems, familiarity with the organization's functions, as well as knowledge of principles of management and supervision. The Radiology Office manager will carry out the vision to provide high quality Radiologic services on an outpatient basis in a timely fashion. The office manager has oversight over supplies, patient flow and basic revenue cycle functions. This position requires a level of relationship with referring physicians to ensure the services provided are adequate. Responsibilities will include: Supervises scheduling and registration services of the Imaging Department in accordance with the philosophy and objectives of the Hospital. Analyzes and evaluates the delivery, quality, and effectiveness of services in all Imaging areas. Collaborates with the Chief Technologist and Imaging Supervisor planning and implementing new methods of delivering patient services. Works with Director to analyze and evaluate the delivery, quality and effectiveness of services in all areas. Acts as mediator to resolve any conflicts and provides solutions. Maintains confidentiality. Works closely with all staff members in providing services which enhance patient satisfaction. Responsible for proper scheduling of clerical staff to maximize coverage. Responsible for the workflow of the clerical area through proper utilization of staff and resources to ensure the completion of work assignments, taking into consideration priority of work. Coordinates workflow within all sub-sections of department. Assists Chief Technologist of Radiology with interviews, evaluates hires, counsels and provides corrective action plan including terminations of staff members in accordance with hospital policy. Responsible for reviewing and approving monthly time sheets. Completes and submits payroll. Conducts annual performance reviews of employees. Develops and maintains relationships with referring physicians in order to ensure growth of practice. Develops and obtains marketing materials to distribute to referring physicians within the community. Responsible for maximum utilization of available staff. Responsible for ICD10 coding for all referred ambulatory accounts. Responsible for ICD10 Coding for all Breast & Bone Density accounts. Monitors and controls all financial resources of the Radiology Department within a budget plan Assists in developing, implementing and enforcing all safety policies. Assists in maintaining compliance with New York State Department of Health, OSHA, JCAHO and all applicable County, State and Federal Regulatory Agencies. Responsible for patient records and filing areas to be maintained in a safe and efficient manner. Requirements: Education: High School diploma or GED equivalency. Associates Degree in Business Administration or Business Management preferred. Skills, Knowledge or Abilities: Independent individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills required in order to communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, physicians, outside agencies and other hospital staff. Medical terminology preferred. Strong computer skills a must. Knowledge of EPIC Electronic Medical Record, radiology scheduling and insurance authorization. Experience: Minimum 2 years previous experience in Admitting or Physician's Office required. Radiology experience preferred. Salary Range USD $33.10 - USD $41.38 /Hr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
