About SPI: SPI is a well-established civil engineering consulting firm with over 87 years of experience serving local government agencies across Texas. With offices in Beaumont, Houston, Kyle, Lake Charles, Richardson, Terrell, and Tyler, SPI remains independently based in Texas, focusing almost exclusively on municipalities, counties, utility districts, and other such agencies. We have expanded our presence in Central Texas and are seeking a Branch Office Manager to lead our Kyle office. Position Overview: The Branch Office Manager will oversee project operations and assume leadership responsibilities for the Kyle office. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced municipal engineer to step into a leadership position with significant autonomy. The successful candidate will have the latitude to develop a Business Development Plan, foster relationships with new clients, and oversee the planning, design, and construction administration of various municipal projects. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the operational activities of the Kyle office.
  • Lead business development efforts, including scope of work development and proposal preparation.
  • Assume Profit and Loss responsibility for the office.
  • Recruit, develop, and mentor professional, technical, and administrative staff.
  • Execute SPI's Quality Control/Quality Assurance (QC/QA) program.
Team and Work Environment: Join a small, close-knit team in our Kyle office, which currently consists of four dedicated professionals. The team dynamics in Kyle are highly collaborative, providing a supportive and cooperative work environment.   • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in municipal civil engineering, including parks, water/wastewater systems, and street and drainage systems.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas.
  • Proven experience in business development and client management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and maintain client relationships.
