Job Summary: Under supervision, provides analysis, research and technical expertise in a specific area of personnel within an organization. Assists with projects that have a significant impact to the agency.Job Specific Duties: Under the direct supervision of the HR Recruitment Manager, serves asa Recruiter. Performs full life cycle recruitment for maintenance and other specialized positions; Screening of candidates resumes; Coordination of, and attending technical school recruiting events and job fairs; Participation in interviews and sourcing of candidates, using the internet; Performs other related HR work functions as assigned; Extensive statewide travel, mainly in the Atlanta Metro area, but also includes Gainesville, Cartersville, and other outlying areas of the State of Georgia.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSThe selected candidate must meet the advertised minimum qualifications to include State Entry Qualifications as well as Agency Specific Minimum Qualifications.STATE ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS:* High school diploma/GED and one (1) year of job-related experience in human resources. Note: An equivalent combination of knowledge, education, job or intern experience, training, or certifications that provides the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted year-over-year.AGENCY SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:* Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university* 1 year of Recruitment experience (onboarding, career fairs, full cycle recruiting)* Experience working with computer applications like Microsoft Office* Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to interact with employees and managers at all levels and meeting shared Department goals* Demonstrated ability making sound and well-informed decisions with strong analytical problem solving and critical thinking skills* Ability to successfully build relationships with peers to be viewed as a trusted resource for advice and guidance.* Excellent customer service skills coupled with the diplomacy and professionalism* Presents a professional image, maintaining a positive attitude interacting with customersAGENCY PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:* Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field with applicable course work* Experience performing any HR related functions* Demonstrated ability to perform in a fast-paced customer service-oriented environment* Demonstrated ability to create innovative solutions to streamline practices and procedures* Possess organizational skills with the ability to multi-task prioritiesIMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL GDOT JOBSThe interview is just one part of the overall selection process and is not the only criteria used to make the final selection. Actions that may disqualify an applicant include letters of reprimand (active for 12 months after issuance date); suspension without pay or disciplinary demotion (active for 12 months from the effective date); Performance Improvement Plans (PIP) and Leave Restriction Plans (active until 12 months after the date of conclusion). In addition, an employee must have an overall ePerformance rating score of three (3) or higher on their most current evaluation. Please note that Memorandums of Concern are not considered disqualifying factors.
