Job DescriptionJob Title: Office PersonnelReports to: PrincipalFLSA Status: Non-ExemptMain Purpose: East Wake Academy fulfills its mission of maintaining a safe, challenging and creative learning environment. East Wake Academy is committed to building a strong foundation of learning while providing our students the competitive edge to win in tomorrow's world.Core Accountabilities: Serves visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately; notifies company personnel of visitor arrival; maintains security and telecommunications system. Assists students, staff members, and families as needed. Key Outputs/Results:
  • Belief in the mission and vision of the school and a commitment to support East Wake Academy in reaching and maintaining our mission and vision.
  • Welcomes visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.
  • Directs visitors by maintaining employee and department directories; giving instructions.
  • Maintains security by following procedures; monitoring logbook; issuing visitor badges.
  • Maintains safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Contributes to team effort by completing various administrative tasks as needed.
  • Works collaboratively with our Operations Manager.
  • Reports to Executive Director of Scholars Academy.
  • Retrieve students for early dismissal.
  • Provide limited first aid care to students and distribute medications.
  • Perform other duties assigned.
Essential Knowledge:
  • Time management skills to be able to prioritize activities, especially when there is a high volume of tasks.
  • Attention to detail to ensure that all East Wake Academy memos are free of any errors.
  • Positive attitude for greeting customers and clients in a friendly and warm manner upon arrival to East Wake Academy or through the phone.
  • Communication skills to be able to communicate with internal team members or clients and understand their needs.
  • Strong organizational skills to keep multiple calendars organized.
  • Administrative skills to be able to use basic computer programs including Microsoft Office.
  • Flexibility to be able to move between activities and duties quickly if priorities change.
Education and Experience:
  • High school Diploma or equivalent.
  • Two or more years of experience preferably.
  • Works comfortably with technology.
