A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN OFFICE / PROGRAM ASSISTANT
As an Office / Program Assistant, you provide valuable clerical support to management. Our engineering firm counts on you to compile, organize, and maintain paper and digital records so our projects can proceed smoothly. With strong attention to detail, you prepare documentation including sub-consultant contracts, extra work authorizations, and plan submissions. Your computer skills come in handy as you ready applications for submittal by uploading aerial maps and survey information. Focused and efficient, you effectively prioritize time-sensitive tasks such as sending response letters, submitting easement documents to the proper county, and attending relevant public hearings.
Your organizational talents are an asset as you coordinate project schedules and book appointments for site investigations. Each day, you monitor and update the database to reflect the status of every project. Managers recognize your value as a competent assistant, and you're frequently included in project meetings, site visits, and meetings with client representatives. Our accounting team also appreciates your efforts as you help with preparing check requests, coordinating invoices, and tracking accounts receivable.
