Responsible for all nursing functions at a single business location. Relies on knowledge, experience, and judgment with limited direction and supervision to accomplish responsibilities.Pay: $38.46/hrSchedule: Full TimeOffice Hours:M-F 8:30-5 also on callJob Responsibilities:Provide holistic nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilitiesObserve, assess, and evaluate the health needs of the people we supportCoordinate preventative and routine medical care for people supportedDocument nursing care providedProvide clinical supervision or oversight for licensed practical nurses and med techs as deemed necessaryAssist with educational and training programs for new employees to include planning, conducting, and scheduling in a timely mannerConduct employee performance evaluations and develop performance improvement plansPromote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practicesAssist physicians with on-site medical clinics where applicableProvide health related trainings to unlicensed personnelTeach medication administration training to unlicensed personnel when state law allowsConduct medication pass observations in the home to ensure staff competencyComplete skill competency checklists on delegated healthcare tasksTeach the people we serve to monitor their healthProvide medication administration training to people who are able to self-administer medicationsConduct medication closest assessmentsPerform quality assurance checks and observations to ensure unlicensed personnel are performing health related tasks as assignedConduct routine nursing assessmentsObserve for and report any abnormal health related findings to the physicianCommunicate with physicians, pharmacies, medical suppliers, and the Interdisciplinary TeamAdvocate for the people supported and assist with developing community supports to promote optimal health for the people supportedJob Requirements:Graduation from an accredited registered nurse programBSN preferred, but not requiredCurrent registered nurse license with no restrictions to practice nursing.Must be able to communicate effectively with Interdisciplinary Team Members, as well as the people supported and their familiesMust be able to work independently, be organized, and possess the ability to prioritize work tasksCurrent CPR Certification or eligibility to obtain certificationPhysical requirements include: ability to regularly lift 20 pounds. Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds. Must be able to pull a minimum of 25 pounds. Must be able to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop. Must be able to regularly stand and walk. Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in CPR from the floor level. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
