Job Description:

This position provides creative support on office space design or planning projects. You will be responsible for providing drafting assistance in the creation and modification of design layouts and construction documents, maintaining office standards documentation and BIM/REVIT libraries, supporting resource library and inventory management, and working independently or collaboratively on assigned projects.What will I do?Provide incredible service on all aspects of assigned project work and initiativesAssist project team with drafting in 2D and 3D applications, imagery or storyboarding, site visit documentation and evaluation, and specific project needsSupport large project coordination; oversee coordination for small projects and ergonomic requestsCoordinate assigned projects including initial scope gathering, concept design phase through final close out of project, ensuring projects are on time & within budgetCollaboration with business partners/leaders to ensure alignment between business objectives and project deliverables; communicate progress updatesDevelop conceptual designs in a fast-paced environment with a collaborative team through charettes and review creating furniture layouts to meet the need of the design with inventory in mind, reusing available furnitureDevelop, create and maintain our BIM/REVIT furniture and equipment libraries, occupancy availability/tracking and managing drawing standardsPerform field inspections, research, measurements or calculations as needed; verify and update information as needed to ensure accuracy; research and identify improvement opportunities and make recommendationsExecute program specifications within established parameters; research and provide input on equipment, materials, or products that meet Wegmans criteria as necessaryRequired Qualifications2 or more years of related work experience, including 1 or more years of Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering or Construction experienceKnowledge of the construction documentation process, equipment and fixtures, and drawing package components, including plans, elevations, details, and schedulesProficiency in software including MS Office, BIM/REVIT, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe InDesign and PhotoshopPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree or working toward one in Interior Design or Interior ArchitectureExperience in designing retail and/or food-oriented projectsAt Wegmans, we ve long believed we can achieve our goals only if we first fulfill the needs of our people.
