Starting pay rate for this position is $16.277 per hour.

Job Duties:

* Serve as a receptionist by greeting walk-in customers.

* Answer multi-line telephone, screen caller's request, direct calls to appropriate personnel, or take detailed messages.

* Code, audit, and enter purchase order invoices into RPS for payment, NIS/E1, then upload into OnBase.

* Audit and enter reconciliations for Procurement Cards into the PCS system.

* Communicate with vendors to resolve billing issues and/or verify charges.

* Code, audit, and enter District personnel expense reimbursements into RPS for payment, then upload them into OnBase.

* Assist customers with automated truck and building move permit system and issue permits as requested including processing customer's credit card payment via the Elavon system.

* Provide clerical/technical support as needed to district personnel by maintaining confidential files, maintenance and project correspondence, records, and reports.

* Prepare outgoing mail daily.

* Order office supplies/maintain inventory.

* Perform data entry into various NDOT computer systems.

* Create and/or update Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and Microsoft Word documents

* Attend training classes as needed.

* Perform other duties as assigned by the administration.

Requirements / Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: Coursework/training in administrative/office support functions, procedures, and methods including the operation of personal computers and office equipment; or areas related to the programs and functions of the employing agency. OR Experience in customer service or public contact; or applying criteria/regulations; and/or performing administrative/office/secretarial support work including use of personal computers and office equipment.

Preferred Qualifications: Energetic and flexible individuals who provide efficient and professional administrative support to other office members and are willing to deal with constant interruptions and doing tasks that require a high level of concentration.

Other: Must have a valid driver's license or the ability to provide independent authorized transportation. The position may occasionally require overnight travel and periodic work outside normal working hours.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Must have good computer skills, proficient typing skills, and attention to detail. Must be able to utilize time and organize work to meet deadlines and prioritize requests, have the ability to work under pressure, and have good interpersonal and communication skills. Must have the ability to disseminate information in relation to geographic location or highway system and direction. Must be able to deal professionally with the public and NDOT employees. Must be able to work with minimal supervision and be self-motivated. Must work well in teams, have a high level of discretion and judgement, and have a good attitude, temperament, and patience.
