Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties and Responsibilities The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. - Report to the administrator on an executive level, acting independently in the performance of high-level support assisting the administrator with identifying ways to improve operational efficiencies.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner.
- Serve as a liaison between departments, staff, oversight committee, foundation members and the community.
- Provide assistance in the preparation of meeting agendas, meeting minutes, posting time sensitive meeting notices and handling any follow-up communication.
- Assist with the completion of action items that have been established by committees under the direction of the Administrator.
- Coordinate the set-up for staff meetings, committee meetings and networking meetings. Coordinate with Green County's IT department with meetings involving Zoom, computer and Smart TV set-up, etc.
- Assist with the ongoing process to reduce and eventually eliminate paper files and records.
- Act as the facilitator of the Friends of Pleasant View Foundation (FOPV). Schedule board meetings, record meeting minutes, coordinate and assist in the execution of fund raising events, and develop awareness of the Endowment Fund and Special Project Fund.
- Manage all FOPV donations through the foundation's established and registered 501(c)(3) corporation.
- Act as the liaison of the nursing home and foundation for families of loved ones requesting memorials. Coordinate and execute requested memorials and processing of all memorial donations.
- May serve on various committees appointed by the Administrator; taking meeting minutes if necessary.
- Assists the administrator with marketing aspects and special projects when necessary.
- Monitor the facility's areas of posted materials to ensure information is kept up-to-date. Monitor areas of the facility to ensure the environment is professional in appearance for residents, families, visitors and staff.

- Follow facility guidelines and read and understand updates, memos, and educational sessions.
- Fulfill work schedule by arriving to the work station at the start of the shift. Meet attendance standards.
- Communicate concerns, questions, frustrations and complaints to the supervisor in a timely and confidential manner. In the event that this communication is not resolved, communication of this will be presented to the Administrator.
- Develop and maintain a good working rapport with personnel within the facility.
- Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the department and facility.
- Be aware that performance and conduct reflects positive customer service to internal and external customers.
- Uphold the privacy and confidentiality of resident information at all times.
- Attend all mandatory in-services or complete the make-up session in a timely manner.
- Attend and participate in meetings as assigned.
- Use the facility computer for Pleasant View operations only. Understands that the computer is facility property and is not to be used for personal use for any reason or method.
- Understand that job performance will be reviewed for a clear understanding of expectations.
- Understand that job performance that does not meet standards and guidelines may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.
Qualifications Minimum Training and Experience Required to Perform Essential Job Functions
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of computer software applications. Using programs such as Microsoft Office and Excel Spreadsheets.
- Have a basic understanding of Resident Rights.
- Have a basic understanding of Abuse Prevention and Reporting.
- Have a basic understanding of Fire Safety and Tornado Safety.
- Have a basic understanding of Infection Control Practice.
