Job Description:Position Overview:The State of Nebraska, Department of Health and Human Services, is looking for a dedicated Office Technician to support the Division of Children and Family Services. In this role, you will assist with clerical duties, ensure the accuracy of documents, records, and reports, monitor information status, and help process requests or transactions. Job Duties:- Support the Lexington local office and front desk
- Support the Supervisor and Team
- Assist with data entry, filing, sorting, and opening mail
- Handle copying and searching records
- Process transportation requests
- Help youth get to appointments
- Monitor a fleet of cars
- Prepare case documentation for workers and legal parties
- Scan documents into NFOCUS
- Print reports for workers on performance indicators
Requirements/ Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Coursework/training or experience in public contact, customer service, and/or performing and applying office/clerical support procedures, including the use of a personal computer, associated software, and office equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience working with the public.
- Experience answering phones.
- Experience working with confidential information.
- Experience with entering information into data base systems
- Microsoft Office/ computer skills/ Excel/ Word/ Nuance
Other: A valid driver's license or the ability to provide independent authorized transportation.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:- Good communication skills
- Ability to answer phones in a professional manner.
