The growth and success of our portfolio will be possible by the contribution of our associates who will be recognized, grow and succeed with us.Our Contemporary hotel,Embassy Suites Uptown Charlotte, has openings in our Food and Beverage department for an energetic and dynamic Bartender.We offer our associates an array of benefits, based on eligibility, including:* Competitive wages based on experience* Paid Vacation* Holiday Pay* 401k* Hilton Hotel discountsJob Description- Responsible for providing timely, accurate and friendly service while preparing the highest quality beverages for our guests.Job Duties include but are not limited to:* Open & close bar* Make and serve drinks* Cleaning of tables and bar area* Maintain storage room where alcohol is kept and keep inventory levels* Restock items when necessary* Mix ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar & bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks* Display knowledge of all menu items, contents and preparation methods* Be knowledgeable of hotel property and amenitiesJob Requirements:* Previous bartending or training required* Must be 21 years of age* Be self motivated and able to work independently* Strong work ethic and a desire to succeed* Knowledge of the Micros operating system a plus* Have working knowledge of beer, wine & liquor and common drink recipes* Ability to lift, pull and push moderate weight is necessary, up to 40lbs* Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time* Clean background check, and reliable transportation a must* Must possess excellent guest service and communication skills
