This position allows you to grow and learn the complexities of determining eligibility for individuals and families who need your help. The WellFund will train you and prepare you to be your best to help support populations in need. You will learn state and federal coverage options as well as private insurance options so you may qualify those who need help the most. For years The WellFund has created some of the most knowledge, compassionate and skilled Patient Advocates in the states of Indiana, Illinois, and Kentucky and we are looking to grow our team. Essential Duties of the Position
- Willing to learn application processes determined by state and federal programs
- Expertise in organization and administrative work
- Communicate positively with clients
- Ability to Navigate through several systems including hospital systems and state systems
- Work independently and must be multi-task oriented

- Collect and review patient information to determine patient's eligibility
- Prepare documents and reviews them for accuracy and completeness
- Completes various insurance applications after determining eligibility
- Develops and retains professional relationship with The WellFund staff and Hospital client staff
- Maintains confidentiality at all times (i.e. PHI and HIPAA)

Preferred Requirements of the Position
- One year of experience as a Patient Advocate or an equivalency of training and experience combined
- Considerable knowledge of Medicaid programs, specifically Indiana
- Considerable knowledge of the Federal Marketplace - willingness to obtain Health Insurance License
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret rules, regulations and procedures
- Ability to communicate with clients/applicants, the public at large, and public officials to obtain data, and to explain and interpret rules, regulations and procedures
- Must have working knowledge of HIPAA and Red Rule regulations
