Job Title: On-Site System Administrator

Reports to: Supervisor of Information Technology
JOB SUMMARY Responsible for developing, implementing, testing, operating, securing, and maintaining school computers and server environment. Oversee the planning, implementation, and tracking of on-site technology related projects.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS - Install, configure, troubleshoot, maintain, document, and manage technology at school locations.
- Configure, maintain, document, and administer computer deployments with particular attention to Microsoft InTune, Microsoft SCCM, and Office 365.
- Process User Management System changes. Process account creation, modifications, and moves. Adjust permissions according to system standards.
- Monitor, configure, and troubleshoot site-based technology based systems including wireless, surveillance, switches, and core infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and support school local area networks.
- Assist in the preparation and support and training documentation for the application systems supported and facilitated by the Technology Services Department.
- Communicate with Technology Services staff, school staff, and vendors to determine current and future needs for information systems and technology at the school level.
- Coordinate the research, purchasing, tracking, and reporting of replacement parts for computers and peripherals.
- Manage the accurate inventory of computers in relation to the replacement cycle and current location.
- Consult with users on their technology needs, application issues, and problems. Review the requests and independently resolve routine issues, escalate more complex issues, or provide suggested design change feedback to Technology Services staff and/or stakeholders.
- Provide input with Technology Services Supervisors and stake holders to set goals, coordinate timelines, and maintain Technology Services standards and procedures.
- Coordinate Technical projects in support of technology implementations and deployments.
- Maintain current knowledge related to the computer and technology industry through training and reading technical publications.
- Act as a backup for Help Desk and on-site technical support.
- Perform other duties as assigned associated with effective operation of the Technology Services Department.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Associates Degree or Certificate in a computer related field (Bachelor's degree preferred) or equivalent work experience.
- Five (5) years' work experience directly related to client/server technologies, LANs and/or WANs, including significant hands-on personal computer hardware/software support installation and maintenance. Must demonstrate an understanding of networking concepts and applications.
- Proven knowledge and proficiency with networking, Microsoft Windows, Office Suite, and Microsoft 365.
- Must have extensive professional experience with customer service, employee relations, and customer management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES - Must possess excellent customer service and strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse environment.
- Ability to speak confidently and articulately present ideas to a group of users.
- Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and to effectively communicate both orally and in writing with both technical and nontechnical personnel.
- Detail oriented and able to manage multiple projects at the same time.
- Candidate must be a self-starter and be able to work in both a team environment and independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with school system staff.
