Job DescriptionResponsibilities Oncology experience preferred but not required. Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate. Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted required. Registered Nurse credentialed from the Maryland Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Drivers License credentialed from the Maryland Department of Motor Vehicles preferred. Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.Unit Description20 chair hospital based oncology outpatient clinic. We are open M-F 8-4:30, no nights, holidays or weekends. We provide infusion services such as chemotherapy, immunotherapy, iron infusions, blood transfusions, hydration, electrolyte replacement, injections, port flushing and care. Agency RN would administer non-chemotherapy medications unless oncology certified. We are a fun group to work with, we all really care about our patients and each other.
